Rainy days and music are an age-old combination. As toddlers, each time the skies turned grey and the air around us grew damp, we sang nursery rhymes like Rain Rain (Go Away) and It’s Raining It’s Pouring and welcomed the downpour. As we grew up, rainy days turned into busy days — beginning with a tumultuous hunt for an umbrella and most often, culminating in a long, painful journey home. A customised playlist is one of the small ways we still enjoy the rainy days in the middle of packed work days and crowded public transport when watching the skies pour outdoors.

This monsoon, let’s take a moment to relive the joys of a rainy day. As the refreshing petrichor fills the air, groove to My Kolkata’s playlist filled with both classic and contemporary tunes.
