The Saturday Club organised Christmas Carnival, in association with The Telegraph, for the little ones to usher in the spirit of Christmas. There were fun activities, games and freebies galore and the carnival truly lived up to its name. From bouncy castles, pony-back rides, tattoo zone to a special Zumba session for the parents and kids, the carnival had it all. Excitement prevailed further when Santa made a grand entry bearing candies and danced with the children to Christmas songs. However, the pet farm took the cake for being the most-visited zone as most kids flocked around to pet the adorable furries. Some glimpses from the event…

“I am attending this Christmas Carnival after a long time and I am extremely excited and happy to feel the magic of Christmas,” said Shanaya Singh.

“This event was actually started by my mother, around thirty years back. It brings back a lot of memories and it is absolutely lovely to see the youngsters of the committee taking this legacy forward,” said Rahul Johri, president of The Saturday Club.

“We have a good range of activities for the children today and witnessing the children’s excitement after Santa walked in has been very sweet. It has been quite a satisfying event, and kudos to the organisers for pulling this off,” said Shayak Gupta, vice-president of the club.

“Due to Covid, we could not have this carnival for three years. So, this time we decided to come back with a bang. The turnout is around 900 people, which is the maximum number of guests recorded and we are truly surprised at the number. All in all, Christmas is all about the family spirit and today’s event happens to be a family show,” said Neeraj Kapoor, joint convener, entertainment.
