Members of some city clubs engaged in a battle of brains at the Inter-Club Quiz held at the Tollygunge Club on September 2. It was an engaging event for both, the participants and the audience, who actively took part in the event to exhibit the depth of their knowledge in current affairs and other general subjects. This was the second edition of the Inter-Club Quiz, which was initiated last year and witnessed quite a good response from all the participating clubs. The quiz was conducted by Dr. Navin Jayakumar, whose expertise in this field was portrayed through the wittiness of the questions and the standard of the overall competition.

The quiz was divided into two segments, first was the preliminary round, which was attended by 11 clubs; out of which eight clubs qualified for the finals. The finals kept the audience at the edge of their seats, as the teams gave fiery answers to attain the first three positions.

The Tollygaunge Club had two teams participating in the quiz. Tolly Team A bagged the first prize with a whopping score of over 200 points. “It was a great event. We have a very good quizzing community at Tolly. This has been a great year for us as we have been on a winning streak. It’s good to see that the quizzing culture is alive and kicking in Calcutta,” said Prasenjit Guha, a member of the winning team
