Culture and creativity came together at Singhi Palace in Gariahat as Namah 2.0, presented by The Earthy Ways, was held on March 9 and 10. With My Kolkata as the digital media partner, the fair showcased both heritage and contemporary art and craft.

Following the resounding success of Namah 1.0, which saw a turnout of over 12,000 enthusiasts, the sequel promised an even more mesmerising experience.

The highlight of the event was the inauguration of actress Rachna Banerjee’s ethnic wear label, Rachna’s Creation. “I really appreciate the spirit of this exhibition. It is curated by a team of women and very well-organised. Women’s empowerment must always be encouraged. When one comes to attend an exhibition, they wish to find everything under one roof and that’s what I can see here today. I wish every woman present here today the very best in their future endeavours,” the popular television anchor said.

As visitors browsed the stalls, they found themselves on a journey of rediscovering the rich tapestry of tradition that define our collective heritage.

Artlicious Shop proprietor Rupkini Sengupta, one of the exhibitors selling homemade cakes and chocolates, spoke of her long association with The Earthy Ways Group: “I decided to put up a stall here as Namah has a grand scale and draws massive footfall. My brand focuses on making and selling homemade chocolates and cakes, which we deliver all over India.”

Sayani Ghosh, a member of the group for five years, loved the feeling of sisterhood. “It promotes a woman standing up for another woman. My brand, ‘Wardrobe by Sree’, procures saris from all Indian states, which are then sold under one roof.”
