Expect: Cuteness overload as pet parents come together with their fur babies to show solidarity to the cause. Anyone can take part, even if you don’t have a pet.

Organiser speak: “At HUFT Foundation, we have been working tirelessly to support our community animals. It has always been our endeavour to give back to our streeties and build trust within the community and coexist peacefully. September is a special month for us. We celebrate Sara’s birthday, my dog, who is our muse, inspiration and the one who started it all. We found it fitting to host the HUFT Dogathon, an initiative that will raise funds for rescued animals across the country.

For Dogathon in Kolkata, the designated rendezvous point will be: ground floor, 110, Southern Avenue, near Lake Kali Bari, Lake Terrace, Ballygunge. We begin at 7am and will cover a distance of 2.5- 3km. There will be water bowls and treats for each dog, to keep them energised and hydrated. The walk will end with a prize and medal distribution as well as goodie bags for all participants to take home. Refreshments and drinks will be served,” said HUFT founder Rashi Narang.
