But the Calcutta Cricket and Football Club outdid themselves this Chirstmas Eve as they brought down Artbat and Fred Lenix to help with the celebration. Other than getting Artbat to the city for the firt time, even the production of the event (from sounds to stage) was one for the books. Taking off from 4pm, the event featured local acts like So Sleazy, Cerebral, Didsco, Adnan, Arcane, Rudra and 8-Bit Culprit before and after Artbat and Fred Lenix.

The CC&FC lawn was packed till the end with 5,000-plus ragers wearing their shades and moving to the melodic tempo. While some were wowed by the experience a lot of the other attendees were crossing out experiences from their bucket list. The cherry on cake? Stepping into a merry Christmas.

Music

Artbat made their debut in the city this Christmas Eve and left their audience wanting more. The duo played their mixes that made them a known name in the industry and kept it melodic and upbeat. “First time in Kolkata and it didn’t feel like we were in India. The event had world-class production, high-octane energy crowd, which was the perfect setting for the show. We are highly impressed by the stature of how it was put across and we can’t wait to visit again,” they said.

Fred Lenix was the other artiste the techno heads were eagerly waiting to listen to. The young talent kept the energy up with his melodic set with a mix of sci- sensibilities.

Techno ready

Models (l-r) Udit Pandey, Sevina Kahlon and Jessica Aaron opted for the classic techno look with their black outfits. We love how Udit sported his shades and the girls went for their black boots to keep the chill out. “From bringing one of the biggest artistes Kolkata has ever seen to the production team working their magic with the visuals and light effects, Artbat raised the bar for all future events here,” said Jessica
