The Eastern Metropolitan Club celebrated Xmas with a fun Christmas Carnival, in association with t2 on December 25 afternoon. The party had a range of games for kids, a musical performance by the band Palindrome and magic shows that made kids happy and excited. Members of the club along with their families joined in the celebrations, many in stylish Christmassy costumes in reds and greens along with Santa caps and headbands. The club’s endeavour to engage everyone in the celebration was also reflected in the food options available — from tasty soups and lip-smacking desserts to roasted turkey and an assortment of cold cuts and, of course, a liquor counter with a vast number of top-end choices. As some children enjoyed dancing and singing to their favourite Christmas carols, others tried their hands at balloon shooting, puzzle solving and so on. The sprawling lawn of the club was a dream-come-true merry land for the children on Christmas Day. Snapshots.

The Roasted Turkey with Raspberry Apple Salad was the star of the Christmas lunch spread.

The Palindrome music band added to the merry mood, performing kids’ favourite Christmas carols, as well as popular English and Bollywood numbers.

“We believe that December 25 is a time of celebration for everyone. So the arrangement we make here caters to both kids and adults. That is our speciality,” said Sanjeeb Ghosh, secretary of Eastern Metropolitan Club.

Prithish Saha tried his hands at balloon shooting.

The Beetroot Panna Cotta in a lovely pink colour was a favourite of the kids.
