The Eastern India Regional Council (EIRC) of ICAI organised its two-day annual signature event, the 47th regional conference, from December 23, 2022 at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Kolkata.
Themed Awakening the Change Within, more than 2,500 members, finance professionals and others attended the event from across India.
The event was inaugurated by Debashis Mitra, president, ICAI. It was attended by Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal, council member, ICAI; Ravi Kumar Patwa, chairman, EIRC of ICAI among others.
Mitra emphasized on the development of technology and sustainability as per global standards and praised the carbon neutrality aspect of the conference which will bring social and community benefits. While talking about the G20 Summit 2023, he reiterated the motto of “One Earth, one family, one future” and confirmed the leadership of India and the efforts of the Institute towards this cause.
