All about ApjiVijai Singh Memorial Cycle Polo Tournament 2023

The ApjiVijai Singh Memorial Cycle Polo Tournament 2023 was held at CC&FC last month. The tournament is held in the memory of the Late Vijai Singh, a doyen of cycle polo, who was responsible for reviving the sport of cycle polo in Kolkata in the 1970s. Aruna Singh, wife of Late Vijai Singh, came down from Jodhpur to be present during the tournament. The tournament was supported by The ApjiVijai Singh and Rani ArunaKunwar Foundation and Caring Minds.

The ceremonial roll-in for the final was done by Minu Budhia of Caring Minds. The final was played between Binder Singh Garcha’s team and Capt. Arnab Sen’s team with the former winning 9-4. Anirban Sen was the highest goal scorer in the final with five goals.
