I invested Rs 2 lakh on fixed deposits with M/s Duncan Industries Ltd, Calcutta 700001, The deposits matured on April 2, 2002. I received the interest on that amount after nine months. Even after several reminders to the company, the Company Law Board (CLB), and the C.B. Management Services Pvt Ltd, I have not received the post-maturity interest at 12 per cent rate per annum vide CLB order CLB/WSB/CAL/3(15)/2002, Calcutta, dates June 18, 2002. I have reinvested the said FDs for 12 months without the knowledge that the company has stopped all payments. I have appealed to Duncan Industries and the CLB, Calcutta, for withdrawal of the sum invested under the hardship case clause as per the mentioned CLB order. What more can I do?

RoundupPrabir Basu of Consumers Unity and Guidance Forum advises:
You should approach the CLB if there is any violation of the order of deferred payment scheme. The Consumer Fora cannot entertain such a complaint as the matter is pending before the CLB. In case of violation of order, send in a complaint letter to the CLB and also mark a copy to the Registrar of Companies, West Bengal.
