Q: I am a 28-year-old MBA and have worked in a BPO for less than a year. I have enrolled myself at an HR firm. What should I do to get a good job?
Samindra Nath Bhose
A: Since you are looking for a job in less than a year, it is evident that you were not satisfied. You can approach companies directly or through a recruitment agency. You can also check various job portals. There is no such thing as a good or a bad job. You need to understand your likes, dislikes and interests. If your work interests you only then would it be satisfying.

Q: I am 40 years old with 11 years of experience in sales / marketing. I have been working as an administrative manager in a real estate firm for the past four years. I prefer an administrative role. Should I do an MBA from Ignou in HR or marketing?
Susanta Bose
A: At this stage an MBA would not be of any help. If you want to utilise your experience, then you should go into CRM type of jobs or sales administration. These would require the selling skills but would not require any outdoor travel.
Q: I am 23 years old and have completed BCA. I am doing MCA from Sikkim Manipal University. Do I need a BEd to teach? How can I apply at colleges / universities?

A: Usually you do not require a BEd degree if you want to teach in a college or a university, but a postgraduation would be preferred. Different universities have different criteria over and above this. There might be an examination for some universities. You can do a research on the Internet and find out exact details for specific universities and follow accordingly.
