Jamshedpur: Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) has lined up a fun and exciting treasure hunt to mark the 114th birth anniversary of JRD Tata on July 29.

The event titled Adventure Quest will be organised by the premier adventure outfit at Jubilee Park from 8am to 4pm. It is open to all residents of Jamshedpur.

"We promise to make the treasure hunt exciting and challenging. It will be a mix of crossing obstacles, navigating and finding clues. We used to hold this event as part of our annual outdoor programme years back. This time the treasure hunt will be conducted in an organised and bigger manner," said Tata Steel adventure programmes chief Bachendri Pal.

Shedding light on the rules of the event, TSAF senior manager Hemant Gupta said participants had to register themselves in teams.

"There should be at least one man and a woman in each team. A maximum of 20 teams will be registered on first come, first served basis. Participants have to stick to a dress code - shorts or trousers, T-shirt, sports shoe and sun cap. They also need to carry their own water bottles," added Gupta.

All the teams would assemble in front of Centre for Excellence. All participants should be aged 16 years and above. Entry fee is Rs 500 per team.

"Top three teams will be handed over prizes and certificates. Snacks will also be provided to the team members. We are looking forward to a fun event," he said.

"We are still preparing for the treasure hunt and soon would work out on the logistics involved. We will also visit Jubilee Park to survey the area and see where the clues can be hidden," Gupta added.
