Hazaribagh, Dec. 6: Some unidentified men opened fire on the vehicle of CPI's Simaria candidate Binod Bihari Paswan at Pahra village of Giddhore late this evening.

Sources said three rounds were fired but Paswan and his driver escaped unhurt. Police said they were probing the incident, adding that the area was known to be a Maoist stronghold.
