The second term started-off with a bang for students of Motilal Nehru Public School. It kicked-off with the ?All India JRD Tata Invitational Half Marathon? where Ravleen Bhatia bagged the winner?s position. The run was organised by the Joga and Jusco schools. While the juniors remained involved with the marathon, the seniors planned for the future. A programme on goal-setting and career information was recently organised for them at school with National Vidya Foundation of Calcutta conducting the session.

he model display contest organised by the Gram Vikas Kendra on July 26 had some interesting pieces put up on show by the four-student team of Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya. The models, themed on solid waste management, got the boys a third position and a cash award of Rs 500. The school also participated in the Ram Charit Manas Gyan contest held on July 25, on the eve of Tulsi Jayanti.

n Extempore competition was held at Cambrian Public school. Altogether 16 students from Ganga, Yamuna, Godavri, Sutlej Houses took part in the competition. The topics selected were terrorism, adolescence and many more. Principal of the school N.M. Mankad said these topics were relevant in the today's world since students experience this daily. It can only be inculcated by organizing such type of competitions in the school.
