Jamshedpur, Oct. 18: The Ranchi University syndicate today constituted a three-member special committee, to review renewal of affiliation to its constituent colleges.

Altogether, there are 27 affiliated colleges under the university. The committee members comprise pro vice-chancellor A.A. Khan, dean of students? welfare (DSW) Victor Tigga and principal of JN College, Dhurwa, MP Singh.

The syndicate meeting was attended by vice-chancellor S.S. Kushwaha, education secretary A.K. Singh and director of higher education K.K. Srivastava.

The pro vice-chancellor told The Telegraph that they would ensure that the affiliated colleges fulfilled the norms laid down by the university.

Based on the assessment of the special committee, a decision would be taken to extend the affiliation to the colleges, he said.
