Suffering from depression or lifestyle ailments? Need to vent your day-to-day stress?

Welcome to the world of Pranic Healing, which helps you connect to your inner spiritual self, now closer home.

The Yoga Vidya Pranic Healing Foundation Trust of Jharkhand opened its first centre in Jamshedpur, GMCKS Lightworkers, at Ramdas Bhatta near Bistupur on Friday.

Its city chapter, which already has about 100 members, now have a proper centre where it will host a three-hour session on Saturday. Active members of the World Pranic Healing Foundation and trainers - Neeraj Jain from Calcutta and Ayush Jain from Ranchi - will be there to assist you.

Experts say, Pranic Healing is a sublime science developed by Choa Kok Sui of Philippines to heal physical and psychological disorders. The 26-year-old system has also been certified by World Health Organisation (WHO).

"Pranic healing has been spreading its wings in Jamshedpur for a year now, successfully benefiting many arthritis, hypertension, kidney and depression patients. There are many active healers in the city who will now practise under one roof at this new centre," said Ekta Agarwal, a member.

According to its members, Pranic Healing is now practised in over 100 countries and this no-touch, no-drug complementary therapy is getting popular by the word of mouth. "The technique is based on the fundamental principle that our body is a self-repairing living entity that possesses the ability to heal itself. It is this vital energy or prana that we use. There have been cases where Pranic Healing has cured even high blood pressure and diabetes," said a member.

Another member Nitulika said in order to uproot a disease, the healing therapy had to be repeated at least for a few months. "The first healing makes the recipient feel good and light and relieved of pain for some time. Modern science and medicine sometimes find it tough to treat certain diseases like hypertension, arthritis and cancer. It is the aim of modern Pranic Healing to complement medicines in order to alleviate the sufferings rapidly," said Nitulika.

The centre in Jamshedpur will not only deal with chronic physical and psychological ailments, but will also have counselling sessions for relationship and monetary issues and various kinds of addictions. Besides, there will be spiritual education through Pranic Healing classes.

Apart from inner healings, the centre has something to offer on external front as well. Go for Pranic facial treatments for scars, blemishes and other skin problems.

The centre also has a spiritual library with books on the subject.
