New posts for 20 cops

The state today reshuffled 15 IPS officers of SP rank and five additional superintendents of police (ASP).

Ranchi, Dec. 6: The state today reshuffled 15 IPS officers of SP rank and five additional superintendents of police (ASP).

Jamtara SP Manoj Kumar Singh has been transferred to SP of anti-corruption bureau (ACB). CID SP Jaya Roy takes Singh's place in Jamtara.

SPs of West Singhbhum and Palamau Michael S. Raj and Patel Mayur Kanhaiyalal have been shifted to Special Branch. Khunti and Seraikela-Kharsawan SPs Anish Gupta and Inderjit Mahata will take over West Singhbhum and Palamau.

Special Branch SP Avinash Kumar Sinha is the new Khunti SP while Godda SP Sanjeev Kumar goes to Seraikela-Kharsawan. ADC to governor Hiralal Chouhan takes over in Godda.

S.P. Barnwal, who was the commandant of JAP-6 in Jamshedpur and in-charge of Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB)-2 in Chaibasa, has become the new rural SP of East Singhbhum, replacing Md Arshi. Arshi is posted as railway SP Jamshedpur, replacing Mrityunjay Kumar Mitu, who is now the SP of State Crime Records Bureau.

ACB SP Alok will replace Garhwa SP Priyadarshi Alok, who is taking charge of Ramgarh. Ramgarh SP M. Tamil Vanan is now ADC to governor.

Among ASPs, Braj Mohan Paswan commandant of IRB-1 Jamtara will now be the officiating SP of CID. Amber Lakra, ASP (operations) Seraikela-Kharsawan, has been sent to Jamtara as IRB-1 officiating commandant. Special Branch ASP Ajit Peter Dungung has been sent to Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS). Special Branch ASP Anuranjan Kispotta is the officiating SP of Special Task Force. Koderma ASP (operations) Manilal Mandal has been made acting commandant of JAP-8 in Leslieganj (Palamau).
