Ranchi: JVM central executive body on Saturday resolved to strengthen its organisational structure and intensify campaigns to dislodge the BJP governments at the Centre and in the state in the 2019 Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections.

The party will also make efforts to forge a grand alliance of opposition parties to corner the BJP.

JVM principal general secretary Pradip Yadav said discrepancies, if any, in the party's block level organisational structure and forums would be resolved by December 15. Restructuring of the party's panchayat and booth-level committees, wherever needed, would be done between December 15 and January 15. Thereafter, an extensive programme would be chalked out to convene division-level party workers' conventions and training programmes, he said.

"There would be two to three such conventions and training programmes in each division and assembly constituency from April 15 onwards. Our Nyay Sangharsh Yatra, which kicked-off from Santhal Pargana, would continue," Yadav said.

He said although each party has its own ideology and identity, the entire opposition would come under one umbrella before elections to remove the BJP from power.

He alleged that the BJP government in the state had failed miserably on the development front and obliged a few businessmen at the cost of the poor. He reminded that after being compelled to withdraw amendments in tenancy laws under public pressure, the Raghubar Das government was now trying to amend the land acquisition law.

"Official records confirm that food production dipped drastically during 2015-16 compared to the previous fiscal. The ring road around the state capital has been hanging fire for the last 10 years and the four-laning of NH-33 has not been completed even after six years. Let us see how the BJP justifies these issues during elections," he said.
