Ranchi: The personnel and administrative reforms department on Wednesday notified transfers or additional responsibilities for 22 IAS officers, which also reduces the workload on CM's principal secretary Sunil Kumar Barnwal.
Welfare secretary Himani Pandey got additional charge of industry secretary, a charge Barnwal held. Mines commissioner Abu Bakr Siddique, who holds additional charge as Jharkhand State Mineral Development Corporation MD, will be the new secretary of mines and geology department, another post Barnwal held. Siddique will also be JSMDC chairman.
This apart, water resources additional chief secretary D.K. Tiwari will be the state's new development commissioner and continue to hold extra charge as principal resident commissioner at Jharkhand Bhavan, Delhi. The development commissioner's chair fell vacant after Amit Khare's central deputation.
Among other significant changes, special secretary Surendra Kumar, who holds additional charge of revenue board secretary and controller of examinations of Jharkhand State Combined Joint Entrance Examination Board, has been made JSCJEEB controller of examinations. He will continue holding extra charge as energy special secretary and revenue board secretary.
