Jharkhand government celebrates grand anniversary in Ranchi

Chief Minister Hemant Soren set to inaugurate projects worth Rs 2,500 crore

Ranchi’s Morabadi Stadium was all decked up on Friday, to celebrate the anniversary of the JMM-Congress-RJD coalition government in the state, with giant cutouts of Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his teammates being put up.

Heavy security is in place on all the roads leading to the iconic ground, while inside the premises, elaborate arrangements have been made to host a gathering of at least over 1,000 people.

The government is going to mark the day by inaugurating projects worth Rs 1,458.95 crore, laying foundation stones of new projects worth Rs 1091.92 crore and announcing 15 new schemes at an elaborate function in Ranchi.

This is the first time since the outbreak of the pandemic that Jharkhand is hosting such a large-scale gathering for an event.
