Jamshedpur: Notwithstanding the 0-1 setback against FC Pune City in the last match, Jamshedpur Football Club would like to put up a solid show against a formidable Bengaluru FC in the Indian Super League (ISL) outing at Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore on Thursday.

Save the goal conceded against Pune at home on December 10, Steve Coppell boys have so far managed to keep the citadel safe. The midfielders and the forwards also seem to have somewhat found the required rhythm in a high-energy tournament like ISL.

But a lot more has to be done against a team like Bangalore who are placed second on the table with 12 points from six matches. Absence of Anas Edathodika may be a cause of worry but the likes of Jose Luis Espinosa Arroyo (Tiri) and Andre Bikey have managed to thwart forays to the defence with good clearances from vulnerable positions.

Defender Anas is out of the team due to a niggle in his groin. "Anas has not travelled with the team. Hopefully, we will have him back in Jamshedpur. Rest of the players are fit," said head coach Coppell from Bangalore.

The former Manchester United winger added the preparations were going fine. "We had two very good sessions in Bangalore. The team is looking motivated to get a positive result tomorrow," said Coppell.

Jamshedpur FC have six points from five matches and are placed sixth but the readings could have been impressive had the team managed to convert some sure-shot chances, especially against the outing versus Pune.

In the meanwhile Jamshedpur FC can be contended with the fact that Bengaluru FC lost 1-2 to Chennaiyin FC in their last match on December 17. But Jamshedpur will have to stop the quick forays led by Bangalore's Sunil Chetri who has the ability to score from difficult angles. Bangalore also need to face the defence from Jamshedpur goalie Subrata Paul, who has so far conceded just one goal.
