Ranchi, Feb. 13: Love has just got mushier.

With fears of invasion of culture cops on the morrow, not only are love birds are planning to hit more hidden, and therefore, cosier places for celebrating Valentine’s Day but also restaurants decided to go ahead with the celebration of love.

Playing safe, the owner of Fireball, Arun Chawla, said that it’s the best to maintain silence, as “we do not want to face any problem in running our business”.

Besides, Chawla said that unlike previous years, “when we used to decorate our restaurant with balloons, this year we have decided not to do so”. But if any couple visit the restaurant, “we have decided to give red rose and shaving cream to them”.

Even the owner of a card shop, Kundan Kashyap of Archies Gallery, said that silent celebration is their new mantra. “Now we are focusing on the business rather than going on for the grand affair which we normally used to have,” he said. Kashyap said that they do not want that their shops to get damaged. “Otherwise our business would get affected and it also means a heavy loss of money and property,” said Kashyap.

Rita Saxena, one of the students of BIT, Mesra, who had planned to celebrate the day with her boyfriend at Palash restaurant said: “We decided to have dinner in the cabin which are meant for couples but the officials said that they do not want to take any risk.”

Many shops at Hari Om Towers are celebrating the occasion by offering 60 per cent discount on items. “We decided to decorate our shop but then the fear made us to change our mind and instead we thought of introducing the scheme,” said an official of Niknish, the gift shop at Hari Om Towers.
