Jamshedpur, Dec. 31: A team of experts today visited the steel city on a one-day inspection tour in connection with the city development project (CDP).
The panel comprised members from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, which has been authorised to analyse the CDPs of the cities marked for makeover under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission.
The team, led by professor Mona Aiyer, visited several areas under the notified areas of Jamshedpur, Mango and Adityapur as well as the Jugsalai municipality as part of their on the spot inspection programme to study the ground realities of the project, its implementation and other such aspects. State town planner Gajanand and officials of Frischmann Prabhu India Limited, the consultant for the project, accompanied the team.
Sources said the team, along with officials of the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, on Saturday reviewed the progress of the Horlung and Mohrada water distribution schemes.
Other projects that were inspected included the Hurlung bridge connecting Jamshedpur with NH-33 and the Marine Drive at Sonari, Bistupur, Agrico and Jugsalai.
