The Chinese believe that ill health is caused due to disturbances in the five elements inside the human body and thus, great importance is given to these.
Our thoughts, which ceaselessly flow, are influenced by the presence of the water element and thus, people born with too much water in them are likely to have an unstable and shaky mind. This also results in their being sentimental and emotional.
The wood element in the mind is responsible for the growth of ideas and thus, when this element is predominant, the person becomes extremely ambitious.
When the fire element influences the mind, people tend to be dynamic, creative and full of life.
The earth element influences the memory while metal influences the magnetism of a person. If channelled in the right direction, it helps to develop willpower and refines the mind to a great extent. If misused, it may make a person corrupt.
It is human nature to look for equilibrium in all circumstances. A room filled with metal furniture and artefacts, for example, creates harshness in the surroundings, which can be alleviated by introducing fresh plants.
Rebalancing the five essential elements can help one attain good health. The person concerned is advised to follow a certain colour scheme duly supported with his favourable element.
For example, if a person’s composition reveals that he lacks metal, he would be advised to sleep on a metallic bed.
However if he were already sleeping on a wooden bed, then placing a piece of metal under the mattress of the bed would help.
Tip of the week:
If it is difficult to understand which element is favourable for you, the best course would be to surround yourself with a judicious balance of all the five elements so that nature supports you from all possible angles.
