How many ATM extensions does Canara Bank plan to open in Jharkhand?

Canara Bank has covered the major cities in the state by installing one ATM each in Ranchi, Bokaro, Hazaribagh, Dhanbad and Jamshedpur. This financial year we plan to install some more ATMs at all our branches in Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Dhanbad. So, we will have 18 more ATMs this fiscal.

Any plan to improve customer care services ?

One of the services which we have launched in our six branches in Jharkhand is the Any Where Banking facility. Any Where Banking gives our customers the freedom to make transactions worth Rs 50,000 at one go. Private banks also offer this facility but charge heavily. This is not the case with Canara Bank. The service can be availed from any of our branches connected to the Any Where Banking network. There are 609 branches in the country that are linked with this network. In the current fiscal more branches will be connected to the Any Where Banking network.

Does Canara Plan have any plan to streamline operations and provide better and faster services?

We will also will start the Core Banking Solution (CBM) wherein all the banks will be connected to a central server located at our headquarters in Bangalore. In this system there will be a single database. The entries of every branch connected to the system will be stored in the central server. As many as 2,000 branches in the country will be connected through this server.

What is status of computerisation of your bank in Jharkhand?

There are 42 Canara Bank branches in Jharkhand and all are fully computerised.
