Ranchi, Oct. 8: A five-day workshop on creative writing and cartoon sketching began at the Human Resource Development Centre here today.

Around 30 participants from different parts of the state, including Chaibasa, Seraikela and Santhal Parganas, will take part in the workshop.

Xavier Kujur, coordinator, said the workshop was being organised for social workers. “There are several social workers who are working for the welfare of the villagers, who understand them and trust them. The accessibility of the journalists has become limited these days,” Kujur said.

The participants will also be given tips on cartoon sketching.
