Road mishaps
Ranchi: At least five persons were injured when the car they were travelling in turned turtle on Tupudana-Namkum Road near Bhusur, some 20km from the capital, on Saturday afternoon.
They have been sent to RIMS. In another mishap, an auto driver was seriously injured when a school bus hit the three-wheeler from behind in Tupudana.
Driver dead
Ranchi: A truck driver, Rajak Kumar, died after a head-on collision with another truck in Nakum-Bundu area of Bundu on Saturday morning.
CM promise
Ranchi: Chief minister Raghubar Das visited Balmiki Nagar in Kishoreganj to interact with residents on Saturday and promised them pucca houses in form of multi-storey buildings.
Train cancelled
Ranchi: Dhanbad-Alleppy Express will remain cancelled on Sunday and Monday due to the Chennai floods, a press communiqué from Ranchi railway division said on Saturday.
No-confidence
Ranchi: The Ranchi District Bar Association was dissolved on Saturday after a no-confidence motion was passed by the members of general assembly. The meeting of the assembly was called to expose financial irregularities of Rs 1,86,000.
Parks
Ranchi: Ranchi Municipal Corporation on Saturday selected M/s Aqua World to run and maintain two parks, Ram Dayal Munda Park and Nigam Park, which have been lying shut for years.
Karate meet
Ranchi: Jharkhand will take part in the national school games of karate championship from December 7-11 for the first time. A four-member team assisted by two officials left for Jabalpur on Saturday.

Dhanbad: A three-day national convention of 31st Indian National Trade Union Congress led by Chandrasekhar Dubey, alias Dadai Dubey, started at the town hall on Saturday.
