If Ranchi Diaries hits the silver screen this Friday, so will a Jamshedpur girl in another film, Kaun Mera Kaun Tera.

Priya Mishra, 24, an alumna of Kerala Public School, Cable Town, and Golmuri girl will be seen in the lead role opposite debutant Akash Gaharwar, actor Govinda's cousin.

Directed by R.P. Singh, the film also stars veteran actor Mushtaq Khan.

Though Priya worked in Ajab Singh ki Gazab Kahani which released earlier this year, Kaun Mera Kaun Tera is her first big release.

Like the recent superhit Judwa 2, Kaun Mera Kaun Tera is the story of twin brothers with opposite natures, a policeman and a crook. Asked how it's different, Priya "I can't give away much, but it's a truly enjoyable film. I play the lead opposite Akash. It is a break I have been waiting for and I hope people enjoy it in theatres. I request my fellow Jamshedpureans to watch it."

The acting bug had bitten Priya years ago, but parents Bipin and Vinita ensured she completed her studies. Priya did her ICSE from KPS and graduated from Golmuri's ABM College.

She won the Miss Jharkhand title the year she graduated, 2013, after which her friends egged her on to join the entertainment industry.

Producer Dhiren Rawani, who was shot dead in Dhanbad earlier this year, had spotted Priya and signed her for Kaun Tera Kaun Mera in 2014.

In Mumbai for two years, Priya said she's on a learning curve. "There's struggle, but I am trying to make a mark," said the newcomer who counts Deepika Padukone as her inspiration and Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan as dream co-stars.

Loving the Internet explosion, Priya also wants to start a web series soon.
