Barkagaon MLA Amba Prasad arrives at the Jharkhand Assembly on a horse to mark the International Women’s Day on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old Congress MLA is the youngest lawmaker in the House.

The penultimate day of the budget session saw the Opposition criticising the state government for allegedly allowing illegal sand mining.

AJSU president and Silli MLA Sudesh Mahto said that out of 608 sand ghats, only 22 are operated by the Jharkhand State Mineral Development Corporation.

State agriculture minister Badal Patralekh assured that selection of mine developers and operators is under process for remaining ghats.
