Geelani steps aside for aide

Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Monday stepped down as chairman of the separatist Tehreek-e-Hurriyat and his close aide Ashraf Sehrai was appointed the group's interim chairman, boosting his chances to succeed the hawk who heads the hard-line Hurriyat Conference.
