The police commissionerate sealed four bars here on Saturday night for alleged violation of Covid-19 guidelines.

Police said 10 bars were raided out of which four were found violating Covid norms by openly serving liquor. “They were found allowing gathering of customers in violation of the guidelines. We also collected fines from the bars,” police said. The police also fined 72 people and collected Rs 28,000 from them.

Odisha’s Covid-19 caseload mounted to 3,23,029 on Friday as 387 more people tested positive for the infection, while four fresh fatalities pushed the death toll to 1,798, a health department official said, PTI reported.
