Ahmedabad, Oct. 30: The commission probing the 2002 Gujarat riots is finally ready to submit its second and final report to the state government, 12 years after it was set up and two dozen extensions along the way.
“We will submit the report within the next two weeks. We may even submit next week. Our report is ready and it is getting printed,” retired Supreme Court judge G.T. Nanavati, who heads the two-member panel, told The Telegraph.
The recommendations of the commission are not binding on the government.
