New Delhi: The Central Information Commission has directed the government to disclose on its website details of works taken up under the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) in every constituency.

The directive came after the ministry of statistics and programme implementation told the CIC that it releases MPLADS funds, but does not keep a record of the works done, except for statistical information.

Every MP gets Rs 5 crore a year to undertake development works of his choice in his constituency. PTI
