Guwahati, Oct 1: Indrani Mukerjea's mother Durga Ranee Bora died here today after a long illness. She was 81.

Mikhail Bora, Indrani's son and brother of Sheena Bora whom she is accused of murdering, said Durga's last rites were performed tonight. Police said Indrani had been informed in Mumbai. Durga had dementia and didn't know about Sheena's death.
