Ahmedabad, June 1 (PTI): A meeting of the directors of the Indian institutes of management to work out a common and uniform fee structure would be held here on June 6, IIM Ahmedabad sources said.

The IIM faculty here, which met today, decided that the directors would meet and approach the government representative on June 8 with their “solution” to the issue, the sources said.

Throwing the fee-cut ball in the IIM court, the Centre had yesterday asked the institutes to work out a fee structure that could be finalised by June end.

IIM society member Praful Anubhai has welcomed the Centre’s decision, saying the step was a “very positive” sign.
