Noida, Feb. 26 (PTI): A 17-year-old student was allegedly raped by five youths in a moving car after being drugged at a party in Noida.

The incident occurred on Friday night when the girl, who studies in Class X, had gone to the birthday party of one of the accused, accompanied by the other four, police said today. A medical examination has confirmed rape, they said.

“Investigations have revealed that the victim was known to the accused. On Friday evening, the girl had gone with them for the birthday celebration of one of the accused. There she was given a sedative-laced drink,” said a police officer.

“Thereafter, she was taken in a car and gang-raped by the five accused.”

Four of the accused — Himanshu Sharma, Rahul Arya, Saurabh and Sunil — have been arrested. A hunt is on for Neeraj, a management student.

The girl had said she was dragged into the car when she was waiting for her father at a bus stop last night and gang-raped.
