New Delhi, July 26 (PTI): Deepak Chaurasia, who was brought in as consulting editor of Doordarshan News by the former NDA government last year, has resigned.
Chaurasia said he and three other journalists had decided to quit the job with the public broadcaster at the beginning of July. “I am on leave and have verbally informed them of my decision,” he said today.
Prasar Bharati CEO K.S. Sarma confirmed that Chaurasia had gone on leave. “Chaurasia went on leave at the beginning of this month,” he said, denying as “factually incorrect” reports that a termination notice had been served on the journalist.
Earlier, Doordarshan’s public relations officer Manish Desai had said that Chaurasia was served a termination notice.
