President Droupadi Murmu confers Arjuna Award, 2023 on Mohammad Shami for his achievements in Cricket. His achievements are:

● Runner Up (Men’s Team) in the ICC Cricket World Cup held in India in 2023.

● Runner Up (Men’s Team) in the ICC World Test Championship held in London, United Kingdom in 2023.

● Highest wicket taker for India in the ICC Cricket World Cup.

President Droupadi Murmu confers Dronacharya Award, 2023 on R B Ramesh for his achievements in Chess.

He has trained prominent chess players including R. Praggnandhaa who has won silver medal at the 2023 Chess World Cup held in Baku, Azerbaijan in 2023, Karthikeyan Murali who has won silver medal at the Asian Continental Championship held in Xingtai, China in 2019 and Savitha Shri Baskar who has won silver medal (Team) at the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China in 2023.

He swam the English Channel in 15 hrs 18 mins 45 seconds, Gibraltar Strait in 4 hrs 25 mins, Palk Strait in 8 hrs 15 mins and Catalina Channel in 12 hrs 40 mins.
