Mood & Music:KK had the crowd dancing from his first song — Kya mujhe pyar hai — to his last one — Koi kahe. The party crowd sang along to Aankhon mein teri, danced to O humdum suniyo re, hugged their friends and swayed to Yaaron and “mock cried” to Tadap tadap ke.

The big screen behind KK at Royal Stag Barrel Select Mega Music Cds presents The Telegraph & The Saturday Club Xmas Eve, in association with Manyavar, flashed images of the original songs as well as Christmas motifs now and then.

Before KK took stage, DJ Harish (inset) belted out retro hits of ABBA, Boney M and Queen. He returned post-KK with Abhi toh party shuru hui hai, leading to more Bolly hits. But the song of the night had to be George Michael’s Last Christmas. “People kept requesting it again and again,” said Harish. And, tragically, it did turn out to be GM’s last Christmas.

She Was Wearing:

Sequinned, velvet, off-shoulder and one-shoulder dresses. LBDs were few and far between. Stoles and shawls made way for chunky necklaces. Boots were more common than high heels — ankle-length to thigh-high — mostly in black but also in tan.

Umang Bharadwaj cut a stylish picture in a Zara metallic top and fitted pants teamed with a black stole from Hong Kong and a Lovisa neckpiece from Australia. “The top is a new buy and I’m wearing it for the first time tonight,” said the lady from Gurgaon who was in town with her husband on a vacay. We loved the Russian Red on her lips.
