Unstoppable Afrojack

Afrojack decided to take over control and leave everyone feeling Ten Feet Tall at Sunburn Arena in association with t2 at Aquatica on Sunday

TIMELINE OF AN AFROJACK FAN AT THE CONCERT

1) Long queues and security checks:
Aargh! The toughest part about a music festival is entering it. By 5.30pm, there was a serpentine line outside the Aquatica gates. Burly security guards kept a hawk’s eye out for rowdy rogues. Pockets and bags were checked, open packets of cigarettes were confiscated, expensive bottles of perfumes were put away.... But the party people happily complied. It was for a greater good after all!

2) The early birds:
The first group to enter was Avirup Sinha (with phone) and his friends who raced in to grab the best spot in front of the stage  and then took The Usie with the Sunburn logo. “Before the network got jammed, we wanted to show off that we are here!” said the Afrojack fan who has been following the Dutch DJ for four years.

3) The party starts!
Afrojack might’ve been a couple of hours away but around  6pm, Ravitez took the stage. Happy vibes resonated as party people j-u-m-p-e-d around the ground from the minute they set foot on it.

4) Selfie story:
Guys and girls made a quick stop by the Fbb counter where some rad party props were up for photo ops! Many broke away between gigs to rest their tired feet and click a quick selfie while at it.

5) Network trouble:
The crowd picked up and the telephone signal dropped. Which meant very few Snapchat and Instagram uploads (Oh no!) and many unsuccessful attempts at phone calls. The aim: trying to catch that elusive signal. The trick: Resorting to funny poses. #LikeThatHelps!

6) Hic! Hic! Hurray!
The bar was a busy place as the happy high crowd [21 years and above] made a beeline for vodka-Redbulls and Scotch-on-the-rocks.

7) After recharge:
A great sound system translating into crazy bass power and fuelling up thanks to the bar, it was time to bust meaner moves to DJ Wiwek around 8pm. #FullPower

8) The grand entry:
And then, finally, it was time for the main act for the night, the one everyone had been waiting for... AFROJACK! Loud cheers greeted the Dutch DJ...Woooohoooo!

9) Making memories:
Everybody soaked in the experience. Phone cameras were turned on, videos were recorded and history was made.
#RewindAndRelive

10) Aaand, we’re down!
After a gig that lasted close to five hours, topped with a thumping act by Afrojack that lasted for almost two, it was time to go home. But wait, lemme pass out with exhaustion first.... Until next time!
