Cha-E-Chhuti maker Aniket Chattopadhyay’s second film Bye Bye Bangkok is a jigsaw puzzle of who’s-with-who built around six men and six women. For 10 days through shine and shower, a team comprising Swastika Mukherjee, Rudranil Ghosh, Locket Chatterjee, Shilajit, Anjana Basu, Sonalee Chaudhuri, Kanchana Moitra, Kharaj Mukherjee, Kanchan Mullick, Rajesh Sharma, Neel Mukhopadhyay and Priya Karfa shot the “romantic comedy” produced by Kaustav Ray.

“Most of the characters of Bye Bye Bangkok take off for Bangkok for a holiday. Rudranil’s character keeps an eye on the other characters, stitching the various tracks together. “I wanted to shoot more than 50 per cent of the film in Bangkok because that’s where all the important action takes place,” said Aniket.

Neel Mukhopadhyay (not in picture), the rich CEO, is in Pattaya on a tour. And the Royal Cruise Hotel is where he has put up. At the front gate, his street-smart chauffeur Rudranil chats up his pretty secretary Swastika.

Aniket explains a crucial scene to Anjana, a professor, and Kanchan, an employee of a biscuit company. The two are vacationing on Coral Island but the Bye Bye Bangkok director won’t reveal if they are here to beat the marital blues or are on a secret romp!

A small-time model, Kanchana’s character is in Pattaya to shoot a commercial for a soap company.

He’s a flamboyant ad filmmaker and she’s an NGO worker. Here, Shilajit is discussing his dreams of making it big as a film director, with friend Sonalee.

Locket, Neel’s trophy wife, checks in at the same hotel where her husband is staying to spy on him. Lobby manager Rajesh helps her with the room and luggage.

Priya Karfa plays a dubious woman who wants to produce films. Shilajit meets her in the hotel’s lobby to discuss his debut film. But Rajesh, who knows better, has a word of caution for him.

In a pale blue shirt and black knee-length skirt, Swastika hits the right note as a woman in the corporate world.

Locket shows up in chauffeur Rudranil’s fantasies like this — in sleeveless flowing dress with an eye-popping neckline!

Kharaj, who plays a promoter, is in Bangkok on the sole mission to ogle girls in skimpy clothes.
