DJ Akash Rohira

Genre: Commercial, Bollywood and Retro
The Bollywood specialist does not limit the drama to his beats. He extends it to his wardrobe. Akash, who released the self-composed Aami Bhi Bangali Aachhi number in 2009, owns more than 10 types of hats and around 22 types of ties in silk, cotton, graphic prints, digital prints... you name it!

“I like to have some drama in my look because it adds to my personality,” said the Jackie Chan fan who loves being in the company of friends.
He believes in comfort and connect. “If there’s a theme, I dress up accordingly as it helps me connect with the crowd. I have a tie that has musical notes on it. Once I wore it to a gig in Hyderabad and someone messaged me the next day that the tie really made me look musical!” he said.
Most expensive item in his wardrobe: A pair of Versace denims.
His collection includes: Hats, sun shades, shoes, ties and mufflers.
His style icon: Maroon 5 lead vocalist Adam Levine.
DJ Girish

— European sophistication and casual American
An Armani overcoat is Girish’s most prized possession
Genre: Progressive House and Techno
Coming under the larger spectrum of EDM, the two trace their origin to the UK and the US, respectively. DJ Girish is an interesting combination of the two cultures he embraces — European sophistication and casual American. “I keep the best of both worlds. I manage to take time out to visit New York or may be London and try to pick up stuff during my travels,” said Girish. His favourite shop-stop? The bylanes of Barcelona.

“What I wear is a reflection of my personality. I am very particular about what I wear, be it a gig or to a movie. I am a huge shopaholic and I have a fetish for good clothes. I believe that clothes maketh a man.”
Most expensive item in his wardrobe: An Omega C Edition watch and a black Armani overcoat.
His collection includes: Watches, shoes, shades and perfumes.
His style icon: George Clooney.
DJ Rahul Indoria

Genre: Hip Hop, Trap, Dubstep
A lot of trap is aggressive rap and the closest DJ Rahul Indoria comes to the hard-sounding beats he belts out is when he’s at the console. That’s when the chilled-out guy-next-door does what he does best — make people go crazy on the dance floor.
“I am totally aggressive when I am at the console,” smiled the25-year-old.
Having a style statement is important for the resident DJ of Privy. “It gives me that extra notch of confidence. I usually shop before a gig because I feel confident performing in new clothes,” he said, adding with his brand of humour that the ladies love “a DJ should always be well-dressed for his gig. A DJ with a bad sense of dressing is a big NO. It disappoints the girls in the party and who wants to see the ladies sad?!”
Most expensive item in his wardrobe: A custom-made three-piece suit.
His collection includes: A lot of formal shirts and shoes and his favourite Aztec-print tee.
His style icon: Diplo.
DJ Rishi

Genre: Hip Hop
Hip hop, with its Afro-American origin, has always been associated with the ghetto street style in the US — careless, casual, comfy, baggy and a little “in your face”.
The resident DJ of Roxy reflects that attitude with his high top sneakers and a collection of “more than 100” snapbacks. “I am mad about snapbacks. I have lost count of how many I own,” said the 27-year-old.

Being a hip hop DJ is not easy. “You are representing all the big rappers and the legends through your music.”
Rishi is also crazy about shoes and watches that he picks up mostly while he is following his first love — travelling. Wearing his favourite accessories gives him “that extra edge” and makes him feel “confident”. “Hip hop has a great influence on the way I walk, talk, dress...,”
Most expensive item in his wardrobe: A pair of Adidas Original sneakers.
His collection includes: Snapbacks, T-shirts, watches and shoes.
His style icon: Li’l Wayne, Chris Brown
