A sultry afternoon on May 3 gave way to a breezy evening that worked in favour of the 3,400-strong party crowd that parked itself at Orchid Gardens in Topsia for The MWM Ultimate Journey #3 presented by The Party People & Smirnoff Experience in association with t2. The third outing of the electronic dance music festival gave Calcutta a chance to dress up, show up and dance their shoes off. There were three stages playing commercial, electronic and techno music, crazy light effects and 31 DJs from across the country. Add to that hookah from Zasu, tipple courtesy Smirnoff and food from Privy and Haji Saheb and the result was some unadulterated fun. “The turnout at the festival was proof enough that the city has accepted electronic dance music.
