LAUGHOUTLOW

KAPIL SHARMA : 3
Though I’m a big fan of The Kapil Sharma Show, I will side with Sunil Grover. A comedian can use a joke to insult someone, but that doesn’t mean Kapil can insult the person for whom his show has become popular. It’s well known how Kapil misbehaves with others when he is drunk. My advice to Kapil is that he shouldn’t consume so much alcohol that he loses his senses. And yes, mend your manners! (Kapil or Sunil — whose side are you on... March 23)
Anisha Das, Howrah
Whether it’s Comedy Nights With Kapil or Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, Kapil Sharma is my favourite.
Projna Bhattacharya
It takes ages to build something and minutes to destroy it. Kapil and Sunil should patch up. Normal fights happen, they should ignore and move on. Anger makes you say things, but they shouldn’t forget the good times they had in the past. Cheers to both. Patch up, patch up!
Vinti
I’m definitely on Kapil’s side because no one can match his sense of humour and sweetness. He is sooooo good! His extraordinary comedy makes me laugh out loud. Sunil is also a talented comedian, but I don’t think he’s better than Kapil. Kapil is so sweet and cute… he has the power to change anyone’s mood and bring a smile on everyone’s faces. I’m a great fan of Kapil Sharma. Love you Kapil!
Ahana Bhattacharya
I watch The Kapil Sharma Show only for Sunil Grover. He insults himself to make others laugh and that is why he has always made a place in my heart. Sunil Grover is the best, just forget the rest.
Nicola Lawrence, St. Xavier’s College
It’s really difficult to decide whose side I should be on as both Kapil and Sunil are phenomenal in their own way. But what Kapil has done is really shameful. Kapil has achieved a lot because of his hard work and dedication. But he will lose it if he continues like this. The Kapil Sharma Show has a high viewership because of Sunil Grover’s Dr Mashhoor Gulati… if he quits, the TRPs will definitely come down.

The Kapil Sharma Show is my favourite! I love Kapil and Sunil equally and the heated argument between them is disheartening. I cannot choose any one of them, but this time it’s Kapil’s fault… he shouldn’t have behaved in this manner. Sunil Grover gets insulted on the show, plays a 60-year-old doctor and a woman just to entertain us. Without him, the show will sink, he is oxygen for the show. But then there is Kapil who is the best in the field of comedy. I want both of them back, I want The Kapil Sharma Show back. I hope the matter gets sorted soon and the happy hours return.
Ittequa Turkan
I think success has gone to Kapil’s head. So I am on Sunil’s side.
Raunak Khemka
It’s really difficult to take sides because both these actors are equally good and make our weekend nights humorous. Though I have been a die-hard fan of Kapil, I like to watch the show for Sunil too. Kapil shouldn’t have behaved with Sunil so rudely. He must not forget the part Sunil has played in his popularity.
Debojyoti Sikdar
I am definitely on Sunil’s side. Whatever Kapil did was not justified. He tried to defend himself saying that he shouted at Sunil for the first time in five years, so it’s okay… this was so lame! Maybe Kapil is more established and talented than Sunil, but that doesn’t give him the right to hurl abuses. Kapil is going to lose a major number of viewers (me being one of them) if Sunil leaves the show, as it is mainly because of Dr Mashhoor Gulati and Rinku Bhabhi (both played by Sunil) that people watch the show.

SUNIL GROVER: 16
Kapil and Sunil are equally talented comedians… it’s just that one got a shot at popularity a little more than the other. I am on Sunil’s side because I feel Kapil has been rude. Hope he keeps his feet on the ground now.
Arnami Roy Choudhury
In our surroundings or our workplace, how many people — a boss or a senior — have apologised for their mistakes? I am obviously with Kapil because he has already apologised to Sunil in front of the world. One thing Sunil has to keep in mind is that he’s successful as Gutthi and as Dr Mashhoor Gulati, but not as Chutki. But yes, I like to watch both Kapil and Sunil together on The Kapil Sharma Show.
Nasifa Hasan Ghosh, Madhyamgram
‘Oho ho, whatta lousy day!’— Dr Mashhoor Gulati style! Sunil Grover is the soul of the show… he is irreplaceable. I cannot imagine Kapil running the show without Gutthi, Dr Mashhoor Gulati, or Rinku Bhabhi. Just a glimpse of Sunil Grover in an episode makes it stand out. He brings tears of laughter to my eyes. By now you might’ve guessed how big a fan I am of Sunil Grover! Sunil and Kapil complement each other in the best way. For fans sake, please don’t part :(
Khushnoor Sadique
Without Sunil Grover, Kapil Sharma’s show is 80 per cent flop. The whole show revolves around Sunil Grover… be it Dr Gulati, Rinku Bhabhi, the caricature of Navjot Sidhu, or even Gutthi. I loved Kapil so much that I never missed an episode of his show. But with the transformation Kapil has gone through in the last few years and his behaviour now, I will think twice before watching Kapil’s show. My full support is with Sunil Grover. Sunil, you are a fabulous actor and I don’t think you will have any shortage of work if you quit this show.
Dhiman Bhattacharya, Tollygunge
I am a great die-hard fan of The Kapil Sharma Show… which means both Kapil and Sunil. Both Kapil and Sunil can’t do anything without each other. When Sunil left Comedy Nights With Kapil and started his own show Mad In India, it was a big flop and even the TRPs of CNWK went down. If Kapil is the body then Sunil is the soul… one can’t live without the other. Tell me t2, don’t you fight among your colleagues? It’s just the same… a tiny fight between Kapil and Sunil. Since Kapil is apologising for his mistake, I think Sunil should forgive him.
Kriti Dhawan
I am neutral but what happened between Kapil and Sunil is extremely shameful and should be resolved very quickly because both are good comedians. Sunil is really hurt by Kapil’s behaviour, especially because Kapil has said it is his show and he is a far better comedian than him. Both are friends working on the same show and this friendship should not sour.

Sunil’s man-woman characters to Kapil’s crisp jokes add up to awesome entertainment. Both are close to my heart. My humble request to them is to reconcile and forget the past. They need to get laughter back into our hearts.
I am very upset with Kapil for his misbehaviour... he may be the lead of his show, but he should realise that Sunil is an essential part of it... sometimes generating more laughter than Kapil himself. Earlier, I would wait for Gutthi’s entry and now I wait for Dr Mashhoor Gulati. Kapil should apologise for what he has done

I am on neither’s side because I believe that they are stronger together. The show will lose its popularity if either of them quits.
Pratik Jaluka
Sunil and Kapil are the backbone of The Kapil Sharma Show. Sunil contributes a lot in making the show a success. Sunil’s

I am on Sunil’s side. Kapil has been very rude to Sunil, who is the backbone of his show. I wish Sunil Grover the strength to fight for his self-respect!
Riya Mandal
Why have The Kapil Sharma Show and Comedy Nights with Kapil both been named after Kapil? Oh, producer?! I just sensed a tinge of arrogance. One didn’t hear about Coffee with D (Sunil’s film) even once on the show, but I bet you have heard about Firangi (Kapil’s upcoming film). The brawl has driven a wedge in the team, and without Sunil, Kapil will lead Team ‘B’. By the way, Dada (Sourav Ganguly) was the captain of a team in which the name “Sachin” was there!
Abir Nandy, Chandernagore
I am on Sunil’s side. It was unexpected of Kapil to abuse and hit a fellow performer. Yes, he owns the show, but that certainly doesn’t give him the right to do anything he feels like with people working on the show. He also has no right to take a dig at other’s failures.
Ahana Mukhopadhyay
As one of the millions of fans of Kapil’s show, we really can’t deny the fact that Sunil Grover has been the man behind the success of TKSS… he is the backbone of the show. This hasn’t been the first time that Kapil has got abusive with his team members.
It won’t be wrong to say that fame has gone to Kapil’s head… he has lost manners and ethics. So I stand with Sunil Grover… he has taken the right decision to quit TKSS.
Amrit Ahluwalia
I am a really, really big fan of Kapil Sharma and regularly watch his show, not only on TV, but also on YouTube. But in this controversy, I am on Sunil’s side. It was not right of Kapil to misbehave with Sunil and hurt his feelings. All of us fans just hope that everything becomes all right between the two.
Ashmita Samaddar
I am on Sunil’s side. He is the only reason I watch The Kapil Sharma Show. Without his Gulati, the show is nothing more than a chat show. His other character, Rinku Bhabhi, is also fantastic. I hope somebody knocks some sense into Kapil’s head or this can be the trip downhill for him.
Ankit Dubey
What Kapil has done with Sunil is not right, misbehaving with your friend in public is really hurtful. It’s okay that Kapil has said sorry to Sunil on social media, but I think it’s not enough. Any crack in their friendship will disappoint the viewers of The Kapil Sharma Show. Kapil should take the initiative to meet and talk to Sunil, instead of tweeting.
Puhabi Das
I would like to thank t2 for this informative article. It’s really sad to know that Kapil didn’t allow Sunil to promote his film Coffee with D on the show, after Kapil devoted an entire episode to his own film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. It’s not right on Kapil’s part to dictate all terms on the show and Sunil’s frustration and dissent is justified. I really hope they solver their ego problems and return to doing what they do best together as a team.
