Sri Lankan Airlines recently hosted an evening of cultural performances by artistes from Sri Lanka at The Oberoi Grand to celebrate and strengthen the airlines’ association with the city. “Sri Lanka has become a hot favourite with Indians because of the similarity in the cultures of the two nations. We have started three weekly flights from Calcutta. We are looking at increasing it to four because of the immense popularity of the route,” said Siva Ramachandran, chief commercial officer, Sri Lankan Airlines.
