Neil Nitin Mukesh |
Johnny Gaddaar might have been betrayed by the box office but hero Neil Nitin Mukesh has no complaints at all. The actor who is just one film old has already got producers queueing up outside his home.
Page 3 and Chandni Bar director Madhur Bhandarkar is quite impressed with Johnny Gaddaar boy Neil Mukesh and is keen on casting him in his most talked-about next film, Fashion.
When we asked Johnny boy, who is currently shooting for Sudhir Mishra’s Tera Kya Hoga Johnny with Soha Ali Khan, whether he had been approached by Madhur for Fashion, he flatly denied it.
“No, you have been misinformed,” said Mukesh’s grandson.
On being quizzed further he admitted that he had definitely approached by Madhur but it was not for Fashion. “We are in talks for another film,” he claimed.
Laugh out loud
After his experimental film No Smoking went up in smoke, Anurag Kashyap’s producer Kumar Mangat (who’s promptly backed out of Vishal Bhardwaj's Julia) seems to prefer a safer route to the box office — and these days that means comedies.
The Omkara producer’s next two releases are both multi-starrer comedies. Rohit Shetty’s Sunday stars Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Irfan Khan and Ayesha Takia while debutant director Ashwini Dheer’s One Two Three stars Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Tusshar Kapoor, Upen Patel, Esha Deol and Sameera Reddy. Ashwini is the writer of the popular serial, Office Office.
