More than a lakh little fans made a beeline at City Centre New Town last weekend to jive and high-five with their hero. Who that? Chhota Bheem of course! Spreading cheer at Celebration with Chhota Bheem, in association with t2, was not just Chhota Bheem but also his friends Chutki, Rajkumari Indumati, Jaggu and Raju. Bad boy Kalia and his sidekicks Dholu and Bholu turned nice for the day and added to the fun. The Dholakpur team of eight danced, played and posed with the kiddie brigade as the Rajarhat shopping mall buzzed with Chhota Bheem songs like Bheem ka budday and Zip Zap Zoom tara.

A little more than a year old, Amaya Rupramka crawled into the Chhota Bheem hut. “She is attracted to bright colours, so we just brought her here to have fun,” said mom Mahek.

With Chhota Bheem playing on TV all day, what do the parents do? Buy a new TV, what else! Siblings Manvi (in picture) and Mayank made sure their dad did just that. “The kids love watching Chhota Bheem so much that I had to install a new TV to watch the things I want,” said Pravesh More, a businessman.

Little Ayan Mitra keeps singing the Zip Zap Zoom tara song and coaxes his mom to sing along. Flaunting his superhero’s picture on his T-shirt, the student of Euro Kids posed with Chhota Bheem. #TotalWin

Pitted against each other, brothers Achuttam and Lakshya Kabra tried hard to burst the balloons without using their hands. The DPS Newtown boys don’t miss any episode of Chhota Bheem on TV. “We watch the show after coming back from school every day and we never fight with each other. Chhota Bheem is our favourite,” said Achuttam, a student of UKG.

Sapna Sandhu took a selfie with Chhota Bheem to show her youngest brother, Lovepreet, in Punjab. “Thanks to my little brother, I too am a fan of Chhota Bheem. The good thing about the show is that it teaches a lot and the kids actually follow him,” said Sapna, a working professional.

Sporting a Chhota Bheem cap, Alvina Islam, a nursery student of Loreto Bowbazar, posed with Jaggu for a photo-op after playing musical chairs.

Dania Fahad will have some sweet memories of her favourite character, Chutki, to take back to Doha. “I find her very cute. Also, she helps Chhota Bheem a lot. And I like Bheem for his intelligence. He is very smart,” said the Class I student of Birla Public School, Doha.

Avneesh Saha got himself clicked with Chhota Bheem and the photo is one of his most prized possessions now. “I will show it to my friends, grandparents, uncle, aunt and everyone who will visit our home!” said the LKG student of The Newtown School, who also picked up a soft toy of Jaggu Bandar to add to his collection.

(L-R) Friends Agni Provo and Azalyn Thingbaijam of DPS Megacity show off the tattoos they got painted at the festival. “We also posed with Chhota Bheem and danced with Kalia, Jaggu, Dholu, Bholu and Rajkumari Indumati. We love Chhota Bheem,” said Agni, a KG I student.

Aarush Nampuria (left) aced the trick of passing through a hula hoop faster than the 30 others who also tried to impress one and all with their agility. Like pass-the-parcel, this game too requires a participant to pass through the hula hoop and then hand it over to the next participant as the music plays on. “I love playing games and I am familiar with these games as we play them in school,” said the Class I student of The Heritage School.

Saransh Kanodia was a picture of concentration as he focused on the Jenga game of balancing wooden blocks while waiting for Chhota Bheem to come on stage. “I watch Chhota Bheem every day on TV. Sometimes, I play the role of Chhota Bheem while my friends play Indumati, Chutki and others. At times my Dadu also joins us and plays Kalia since he is the tallest,” smiled the student of St. James’ School.
