Karan Wahi Of Remix Returns After Four Years, With Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari Madhuparna Das Do You Find Karan Cool/hot? Tell T2@abpmail.com Published 24.04.09, 12:00 AM

The cute and dashing Ranveer from Remix (STAR One) is back as Rajveer in Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari (Colors) after four years. Karan Wahi is all set to charm his way into your heart once again.

Where were you all these years after Remix?

This is my second show after Remix. I have been long absent from TV shows but I was doing things like commercials, reality shows and I have been rehearsing for a couple of films but they have been delayed.

How did you land Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari?

Sometime last year the production house was looking for a lead boy for the show. They approached me. I wasn’t doing anything. I was not bound by anything at that time. They narrated my character and that’s how I got this role.

What is your character in the serial?

Rajveer is a Delhi boy. Charming-charming kind of a guy. Loves his grandmother and calls her GM. She is one of the most important persons in his life. Rajveer is always surrounded by friends and he has two best buddies with whom he hangs out. Rajveer believes in love but he doesn’t believe in loving one. His entire funda is not negative, not like he is interested in three-timing or four-timing. His funda is he doesn’t mind falling in love but he doesn’t know how to love one; he loves someone here, he loves someone there.... And he is waiting for the right one to come his way.

How much of you can we find in Rajveer?

Somewhere down the line I am similar to Rajveer but not exactly. Like, say, this character loves talking, I do too. He loves travelling, even I keep taking vacations. I’m not saying I’m completely different... I’ll not say I’m completely similar.

This is an important role. How does it feel?

It’s great! I have been looking forward to it for a long time. I have been waiting for the little girl to grow up so that I can make an entry in the serial. This girl is everything to her family. So it would be fun when I eventually take her away from them.

What’s the experience of working with Mugdha Chaphekar (Chandni), who plays the title role?

Brilliant... we have shot a couple of scenes only. She is a really good co-actor. I am scared. I am working after a long time and I am trying to live up to all the expectations and trying to match up to some of the brilliant actors around me like Kulbhushan Kharbandaji.

This serial deals with an issue — that of the girl child. What is your take on the issue?

That is the USP of the serial. In today’s time many families have become much more open to having a girl child. That boy-boy thing is not there anymore. That’s the mainstay of Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari. I am happy with the show. I think it is a great concept.
