Amitabh Bachchan is the narrator for Discovery’s Journey of India show

The Journey of India will premiere on Discovery+ and Discovery network channels on October 10

Warner Bros. Discovery’s new series The Journey of India, which showcases the nation’s rich history and bright future, will be streamed on Discovery+ as well as Discovery Network channels from October 10 to commemorate India’s 75th year of Independence.

Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan’s voice will be heard on the show as he will narrate the episodes.

Combining pre- and post-Independence video footage, the show will also bring on a line-up of eminent personalities and experts who will shed light on the development, influences and accomplishments that the nation has seen since Independence.

From scientific advancements leading to successful space missions to stories of faith, the six-part series will bring together tales from across the country to highlight the diversity of the nation.

We are proud to work with Amitabh Bachchan to take the audience on a vibrant journey of India, capturing the ethos of the nation, its diverse culture and the spirit of its people,” said Arjun Nohwar, general manager (south Asia), Warner Bros. Discovery.

The show will be streamed on the Discovery+ platform in the UK, US and Philippines. It will also be shown in over 140 countries, including Japan, Singapore, France, Switzerland, UAE, Egypt, Brazil, Iran and Kenya, on Discovery Network channels.

The Discovery Network channels in India where the show will premiere on October 10 are — Discovery Channel, TLC, Discovery Science, Discovery Turbo and DTamil.
