Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Badshah heap praises on Diljit Dosanjh for his historic Coachella performance

The singer-actor becomes the first Punjabi artiste to perform at the Coachella music festival in California

Bollywood A-listers Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan led the line to heap praises on Diljit Dosanjh as the singer-actor created history on Sunday by becoming the first Punjabi artiste to perform at the Coachella music festival in California, US.

Sharing a clip from his performance on Instagram, Diljit asked fans to tune into the music festival’s live stream on YouTube. In the video, Diljit, clad in a black kurta-pajama and a puffer jacket, is seen performing with his band and a group of dancers. He also wore black-and-white sneakers along with yellow gloves.

Alia, who acted with Diljit in his debut Bollywood film Udta Punjab, shared the video on her Instagram Stories and captioned it “EPIC!!!!!” She also tagged the singer-actor and added clapping hands and party face emojis.

Sharing the video on Instagram, Kareena lauded the Punjabi singer-actor’s feat. “The OG (red heart, star and star eyes emojis) Ufff (star emoji),” she wrote in the caption and tagged Diljit, who re-shared it on his Instagram with folded hands emoji. The duo shared the screen in 2016’s Udta Punjab and 2019’s Good Newwz.

Actress Sonam Kapoor also took to Instagram to laud Diljit’s historic feat. “Insane! I wish I was there!” she wrote.

Actress Kriti Sanon shared the clip of Diljit’s performance on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “Vibe!!! Fabbbb as always,” while actor Varun Dhawan added the video to his Instagram Stories with the caption “Historic with a GOAT emoji”.

Rapper Badshah tagged Diljit after putting the clip on Instagram and simply wrote, “History.” Diljit reshared it and wrote, “Bhaji hugging and folded hands emojis.”

Actor Arjun Kapoor also took the video on her stories and wrote, “G.O.A.T,” while Canadian comedian Lily Singh shared it with the caption “THE GOATTTTT” with crying emoji and red heart emoji. Actor Arjun Rampal, Punjabi artiste Jassie Gill and rapper Raja Kumari also praised the rapper.

Apart from sharing the video clip, Diljit also shared several images from his time in Coachella on Instagram.
